As usual in recent years, summer nights at Castell Jalpí (Arenys de Munt) are made of music and gastronomy. Next August, anyone interested in would be able to live in direct internationally famous musical performances, where the voices of the invited artists will have a real importance.
On the first Friday of August, Mónica Green will be the voice that will open the doors of Castell Jalpí. The courtyard will be the scene of one of the best voices of soul, blues and R&B of this 60s, 70s ans 80s black music diva, accompanied by the Sextet Formation.
The next day, it will be the turn of the Gala de ópera y zarzuela with the performances of the soprano Beatrice Jiménez-Marconi, the baritone Toni Marsol and the Ricardo Estrada’s piano. Lovers of this musical genre will enjoy a masterful night thanks to these three specialists.
A classic of the musical nights of Castell Jalpí could not be missing, as it’s the performance of the Gala de los tres tenores. It has been popularized by the great Pavarotti, Carreras and Domingo. On this occasion, on Friday, August the 9th, we will live this performance through the voices of Albert Deprius, Josep Fado and Antoni Lliteras, followed by Marta Pujol’s piano. The repertory will make the audience vibrate with a dose of drama from the great opera arias to the romanticism of the Neapolitan song.
Finally, on Saturday, August the 10th, the performance of the spectacular trio of The Sey Sisters will close the festival. A set of three voices that invites us to live a meaningful musical journey from gòspel, to African music and soul. Songs are impregnated with deep emotion that arise from the fight against injustice and the defense of human rights.
With these four performances, Castell Jalpí will relive as every summer the apotheosis of the most outstanding musical nights of the Maresme that as on previous occasions will offer a gastronomic service, designed for the occasion and known as one of the main typical attractions of each year. Musical nights, with a menu proposal and prior reservation will allow attendees to enjoy the gastronomic experience of ARCS Catering based in the same castle.
In addition, the gastronomic offer will be completed with a permanent bar service for dining, in a more informal and fresh way with tapas, snacks and a special assortment of drinks. Dining in the courtyard of Castell Jalpí during this summer nights will be the festival’s final touch.
